    Description

    New, unused,  never installed, with original box and original waxed-paper instruction sheet.  Until these photos were taken, the derailleur was wrapped up in its paper, untouched for over 4 decades by anyone outside of the factory. Box is very shopworn and oil-stained.  Paper is very oil-stained too.  The derailleur had an unusually generous amount of brown assembly oil
    (now wiped off)
    all over it, which saturated the packaging. Derailleur finish is exceptionally fine with minimal tarnishing; all aspects of mechanism are 100% functional.
    Offset pulley cage geometry on this budget model was identical to the top-line 'Record' and usually shifted better in most applications (
    if
    used with the optimal chain length, etc) than the later, fancier but non-offset-pulley 'Velox' model.
    Pulleys have bronze bushings, and parallelogram pivots have bronze (or brass) washers.
    Made in Vicenza, Italy, vintage c. mid-60's.
    Rather than try to re-wrap exactly as before, the paper has been carefully and loosely folded using its original creases.
